The Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) at Navkis College of Engineering, Hassan, established in 2009–10, is approved by AICTE, recognized by the Government of Karnataka, and affiliated to VTU, Belagavi. The department is the first in the institution to receive NBA accreditation, reflecting its academic excellence and quality practices. With a strong team of qualified faculty, a vibrant research culture, and a growing student community, the department focuses on outcome-based education, industry relevance, and holistic student development.

INFRASTRUCTURE

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering is supported by well-equipped computer laboratories with high-speed LAN connectivity and dedicated servers, ensuring a robust environment for programming, simulation, database, and system software development. All classrooms are ICT-enabled with smart boards and LCD projectors, supported by 1 Gbps leased-line internet, Wi-Fi connectivity, and CCTV-enabled learning spaces. The department utilizes a mix of licensed and open-source software, along with FTP and Azure cloud storage, to support teaching, learning, and research activities.

The department houses 8 spacious classrooms, multiple modern laboratories, a seminar hall, department library, computer and research centers, and well-organized tutorial rooms to facilitate academic engagement. Administrative infrastructure includes faculty cabins, HoD room, department office, server room, and essential utilities.
