About the Department
Master of Computer Applications (MCA) is a promising post graduation programme to meet the present and future needs of the Information Technology (IT) Industries. In its pursuit towards achieving educational excellence by imparting quality education, Navkis College of Engineering started MCA during the academic year 2023-24. Master of Computer Applications is a two-year programme recognised by AICTE and affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU). The MCA Programme has subjects with a blend of pure and applied sciences. After graduation, the students of MCA have diverse career opportunities in industry, research and entrepreneurship.
The department nurtures the students to be equipped with essential skills to meet the expectations of software companies, educational institutions and research. The department has dedicated, skilled and highly qualified staff members and also state-of-the-art laboratories and other supporting infrastructure facilities. The faculty members of the department are constantly upgrading their knowledge by attending various seminars, conferences, workshops, and refresher courses. The department has excellent classroom infrastructure equipped with modern teaching aids.
The department regularly conducts seminars, conferences, workshops, special Lecture series and invited talks which provide a platform for industrial professionals, students, researchers and eminent scientists to have discussion forums for mutual benefits. The department also invites resource persons from reputed industries and academic institutions to organize workshops under the upskilling program.
