National Service Scheme (NSS)

The National Service Scheme (NSS) at Navkis College of Engineering, Hassan (NCEH) functions as a vibrant platform for student engagement, social responsibility, and nation-building. Guided by the motto “Not Me, But You”, the NSS unit instils values of empathy, discipline, leadership, and civic consciousness among students while addressing real societal needs.

About NSS at NCEH

The NSS Unit at NCEH operates in accordance with Government of India and VTU guidelines and is integrated with the institution’s outreach and extension framework. It provides students with structured opportunities to contribute meaningfully to society through community service, awareness programs, and development initiatives.

  • Registered NSS Volunteers: 600+
  • Active Final-Year Volunteers: 150+
  • Affiliation: VTU & Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports
  • Academic Integration: NSS / Yoga offered as a credit-based course (3rd to 6th semester)

Objectives of NSS

The NSS Unit at NCEH is led by:

All activities are planned, approved, executed, documented, and reviewed in coordination with the Principal and IQAC, ensuring transparency, continuity, and statutory compliance.
