Dr. H. S. Mohana took charge as Principal of Navkis College of Engineering, Hassan, Karnataka, India in the month of March, 2021. Dr. H S Mohana, completed his BE from AIT, Chikkamagalur while his M.E is from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee. Dr. Mohana’s thesis was on “Real Time Road Traffic Analysis using Differential Techniques and its Evaluation” from VTU, Belgaum. Dr. Mohana comes with a rich and varied experience as an Educator and researcher for over 33 years. Having published more than 60 papers in national and international conferences and journals in India and abroad, he has 119+ citations in his credit. Dr. Mohana’s areas of interest include image processing, signal processing, computer vision based instrumentation, digital image processing & pattern recognition etc. He has attended more than 65 faculty development programs and has organized 20 faculty development programs and workshops. He has several professional memberships such as MISTE, IETE, FIE, IEEE(senior member,)ISCSIT Singapore and has rendered academic service in the BOE, BOS of various Universities of repute. He is also the member in VTU and Kuvempu Universities. Dr. Mohana has chaired several IEEE International Conferences and has been recognized as a reviewer for many reputed National and International Journals and Conferences. Under his leadership and dynamism, Navkis College of Engineering has been scaling newer heights.
